Of the more digestible movies I've seen without Rx-strength Nexium and Prilosec are The Butler and All Is Lost, man's plight against the sea and the odds of surviving her with Robert Redford. Both films and their actors are snubbed by the Oscars. Your guess is as good as mine as to why.

After a steady diet of negative stories this year, Saving Mr. Banks comes in as the last surprise irritant. "Just A Spoonful of Sugar ...makes the medicine go down" didn't work with me as I tried to digest Emma Thompson as the irritating P.L. Travers, author of Mary Poppins. Emma Thompson, who is excellent as all get-out, plays a demanding, unyielding writer with all the emotion of a walking ironing board who challenges Walt Disney (Tom Hanks) and his staff, at every turn, in their efforts to produce his version of Travers' classic book. You will want to reach in and strangle Thompson at points in this flick along with Disney's staff.

After getting on my last nerve, I shoved in a DVD of Lee Marvin in the Dirty Dozen and left "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" to history in one of Walt Disney's greatest creative achievements over creative differences and P.L. Travers' demands. It was a battle from the get-go.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013)

Director: Francis Lawrence

Writers: Simon Beaufoy (screenplay), Michael Arndt (screenplay).

This was like the 1st film which i found just as enjoyable. This sequel was over long though. I like the brutality of the story without it being explicit in its imagery. It still has the same garish costumes that copy, it would seem, every extreme of fashion. The gaudy reality show Hunger Games keeps the masses from revolting and Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) is still the somewhat reluctant symbol of hope.

I loved this film. Found it to be better then the first Hunger Games film.

Mandela...was a good movie. I was told it was boring and long, but geez it was about the life a man who lived to be 95 yrs old, it couldn't have been a hour movie.

Frozen...chuckles my Christmas Elf would be so proud of me for sitting threw this one. Cute movie, the lesson was the best part. Great move and music if you are a 3 yr old.

I had heard mixed reviews on it but I really enjoyed it. It has amazing graphics.

I confess it was Godzilla!

. We're not talking Sir Lawrence Olivier here; but for what it is, it was fantastic. I'll just say they left it open for a sequel.

Yes, I enjoyed it w/the exception of Mila Kunis' horrible NY accent.

A film directed by Denis Villeneuve; it was adapted by Javier Gullón from José Saramago's 2002 novel The Double.[1] The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal in a dual role!

This movie was just to far out there for me! I watched it on Demand so afterwards there was a discussion between Jake and director Denis Villeneuve, but even that I didn't watch in full.

Went to see Malificent last night, as a request from the kids. I absolutely loved the movie!! I will for sure be watching it once more this weekend!

I so agree with you!

I read your review and we decided to take a chance on it anyway.

Bad move.

After about 15-20 minutes my girlfriend said: "I don't like this movie" and I replied: "I hate it. homoe was right-we should have paid attention".

It did get in the 60% range from Flixter and the Tomatometer critics/viewers. We thought it would be a fairly sure thing.

Next up to see: Chef. Looking forward to that movie.
