Last night was chill here. I did some early evening gardening after deciding I need Poppies in my yard. Lots of time out on the back porch enjoying the sounds of the river and the breeze.

Relaxing and drinking lots of water after being out in the sun all day.
We had a huge storm blow through here about an hour ago. Heavy winds, thunder, lightening. A mid size tree fell in my yard. Thankfully avoided doing any damage. The storm brought down the heat so that's good... |

Backyard campout with the two great nephews. We played hide and go seek. They love when I am the seeker because they say I'm scary. I usually carry a fire stick and call out that I am coming for them. Tonight I scared one with the story about the couple on a deserted back road and they end up finding a bloody hook on the car door. I guess that was a little much.

It's pretty quiet here. My daughter is home from college now for who knows how long. We visited a lot today but she's having quiet time in her room now. I'm listening to some Otis Redding, doing laundry, wondering what the next few weeks will be like.
