I have, and I like it. I also do it with Chia seeds either cut in with the oats, or just on their own. I usually do it with almond milk and some blend of berries then throw some walnuts on in the morning if it's just oats. Too much with Chia... only need a little of that stuff.

I like steel-cut oat meal and I've made John McCann's steel-cut oatmeal the night before and liked it, but I prefer the freshly made oatmeal.

I eat Coach's oatmeal. It's steel-cut (or the results are a steel-cut texture) and it takes 5 minutes to make. I make mine each morning because it's part of my routine for starting my day slowly.
