Talking to an old friend from school - for the first time in YEARS - and hearing how happy she is with her girlfriend ... after many years of hardship and struggle, she's finally found happiness and contentment. (I LOVED just sitting there listening to her sweet southern drawl as she told me stories of her beautiful family!... her accent soothed my homesickness.)

Shortly there-after... talking to a dear, long-time friend, her making the time for me even when her day was extremely busy...me asking very difficult, intimate, sincere questions about my ID and a few other hard-to-talk-about subjects ... and her comforting and confirming that I am NOT "defective" or less of a lesbian because I don't like certain things...wish I could elaborate more, but I left that conversation with a weight lifted off my shoulders.

Today, when my daughter left for school at 6:45am, the sun was shining! Even though it was wintry cold, it felt like spring to me all day.

Also,

Both kids are with us this evening. We had meatball subs and sweet potato fries. Now watching "Antiques Roadshow" and relaxing. It's the best.

I have a smile that I have a job.

I have a smile my health is pretty much good well for the most part. lol

I have a smile I got to spend some much needed time with my daughter and family for a nice dinner this past weekend.

even though i woke up to it snowing again....

it could be worse.... right??

When I was in the hospital, one of the RN's ran into me, and knocked my glasses off of my face. It cracked the lenses. I told her not to worry about it, but to take care of her sick patient.

I called the vision place I got my glasses at. They told me my warrenty ended, but after I told them what happened, they are fixing my glasses for free.

WooHoo! There is GOOD in this world!

Receiving a text message first thing this morning as I was just opening my eyes and thinking I would text her to say good morning. Ahhh, great minds! (it's a good feeling when you realize that you might be one of the first thoughts that someone has when they get up as well.)

a good friend, a little makeup, some pink flowers, and a photoshoot with an iphone that left me with pictures that left me feeling beautiful in a time when i feel my body has let me down.
its good to feel good about myself amidst so much difficult going on.

Trying to help a 5th grader clean his saxophone during our first counseling session. It was hilarious as neither of us knew what we were doing.
