talking to a good friend.. I miss hearing his voice.. He has always had a way of making me laugh. Especially when he is telling Peppa what for and she listens... even when she turned her head away in shame lol.

yesterday at pride a friend took a video of me dancing. she put it on her fb, I put it on mine. There were many folks my age that appreciated my enthusiasm for the day and the opportunity to party.

then later there is this comment under the video posting:

OMG! MOM!

my reply was: darling daughter if you are embarrased by me hide me from your fb page but moms have a right to get crazy and have fun too, lol

I chuckled. many a time I hid her shennigans from my page. equal opportunity, I say

The beautiful afternoon; sunshine, water, and flowers; baked a double batch of the most outrageous homemade brownies ever; a meandering walk in the beautiful subtropics with no hurry, since I have nowhere I have to be until next Monday.

I was picking up some alcoholic beverages for tonight little dinner party and I was asked for I.D!!!! Now considering the last time this happened to me was 20 years ago, I practically hugged the checkout guy, beamed a massive smile showed him my dusty cobweb ridden I.D and strutted out of the store. I still can't stop smiling

I went into the grocery store to check the Redbox for a particular movie I wanted to get and there were two girls there. One was in a wheelchair but they were clearly sisters close in age and possibly fraternal twins. They were maybe 8 or so.

The Rebox there had two screens and one girl was at each screen. I got behind them and waited a moment but it seemed to me that they were just playing around, so I asked the two if I might check one of their screens really quick.

The girl at the other screen looks over at her sister and says, "You can look at her screen." Her sister looks at her like she's not surprised she said that and wheeled herself over to the other screen.

I check it and the movie's not in right now, so I clear the screen and tell the girl that I'm all done if she wants to look some more and then I get behind the other sister, who is guarding her screen like a dog with a meaty bone.

Finally the mom comes over and the first girl says that this is the movie they want. Mom says, "Did you both agree?" and the first girl emphatically says yes but the other sister says that she didn't agree in a teeny voice. The look on the first girl's face made me grin to myself.

The dynamic between the two sisters is obvious and I hope that the one in the chair keeps sticking up for herself because I can totally see other sister just running her over to get her way.

Mom made them both move to the other screen so they both could pick out a movie and I could check the second screen. As I left, I heard a lot of little 'no's and 'but I want to see it's coming from them. lol
