Being in the right place at the right time!
As I was getting ready for class this morning, there was frantic knocking at my front door. I have an elderly neighbor lady that lives across the street with one of her adult sons, who is rather developmentally challenged... to the point where he can't really operate a telephone. We rarely talk...okay, it's more like we never talk but for the occasional smile and nod. I also seriously doubt they know I'm a medic. However, this morning I'm glad the son was comfortable coming across the street for help. Turns out his mother, who's a diabetic, fell and lost consciousness. She came around pretty quickly, but was having other difficulties with her breathing, pain etc. I suspect a broken rib as well. But it was exceptional helping out so close to home and help calm him down, as well as provide some basic aid while calling for an ambulance. I think I'm gonna chalk Friday up as a WIN!

my employer called me not long after she left....
she saw a moose in roughly the same place I did....she called and said "I wanted you to know I saw your moose!" I told her to wave and say hi...surely the moose remembers me since I was dangling out the window of my car trying to get a good picture of her....
