Ethereal, this mist that lies beautifully upon these open and rolling meadows
Weaving so gently amongst trees, brush, and long blue green wild grasses
If only it were as warm as it is peaceful to these gratefully gazing blue eyes
I would lie beneath it and feel the healing of the Earth Mother’s embrace.

Fluidity

What is fluidity but the sweeping continual motion, of timeless forward movement?
The earth displays this in its careful polishing and rounding of embedded stones
By the cold, crystal clear, persistent caress of the mountain waters of this brook
Cleaving quietly through the dense valleys of an uninterrupted sun dappled forest

Where one may express that here, there is a lack of civilization, no sense of order
And the voices of humankind do not sing out in the loneliness of such utter silence
Another will see the connection to life, and the possibilities of rebirth and renewal
And feel the Earth’s tones resonate within the inner recesses of their deepest soul

The Rushing of Sound

Sit here with me and listen to the water:
water rushing past us, cold, rippling through our stoned existence,
balancing ever so carefully, the pressure of your warm gaze that drinks me up
as if there will be none of me left.

Feel me, as I brush past your feet;
watch me as I wash your consciousness afresh
with the fragrance of the rushing sound of my heart, my soul, my everything.
The rushing of your sound gives me life and serves completely.

Interdependent, we care for each other;
we rush over rocks and remnant wood
as we flow boundlessly on our journey:
The rushing, the rushing of our sound.

As I watched, the freshly corked bottle was born away on the greedy frigid arms of the sea. Contained within, was the note you left me the day you chose to die. My face glowed from the cold kiss of the saline wind, and when my tongue touched my lips, I couldn’t tell whether I tasted the salt of the ocean or my tears. Standing in front of the vastness of the Pacific, I felt so alone and empty without you there.
