*All of the following poems are written by me over many years*

~A Writer's Poem~

A perplexed soul ponders upon the purpose of it's talent
"I am a gifted writer"
It finally does declare itself as
I bring to life the multi-faceted array of feelings
suppressed only by empty pages
But with a pen and my heart, each emotion I have ever felt
I am capable of relaying into just the right words
And when the poem is completed
others may then read it
releasing their own pent up emotions, and I may finally rest...
Relax, until more words are felt...words that come
traveling via adrenaline through a writer's veins
Through a heart that beats with emotions it awaits to tell the mind of
"I feel something" it says through inspiration.
The mind then conveys to the hand to pick up a pen
for it is time to create again
And upon receiving the signal with pen and paper the code
is then deciphered
The once empty pages are soon decorated with poetry
Words of depth that may speak to another's heart one day
and touch their soul possibly quite deeply
Then those words truly know they have found a home
On the pages of a poet's finished poem.

~Footprints~

A snow covered field
Empty and untouched
Marked by none and noticed by those
seeking beauty only in its plainness

So was it like when I
first noticed you

An ocean at sunset
glowing with a hidden sadness
Symbolizing the end of a day
filled with sunshine, nature
and feeling free to experience
the little easily passed by miracles of life

So is it like each time we must part
Until whenever our next encounter

A moonlit night
sparkling with the brillance
of each tiny star's existence
Showing their worth in the black night's sky
with pride and a remarkable mystery
Until dawn...

So is it like our relationship
Just as I am beginning to discover
Who you really are and what you're all about
I awake to find you gone

~My Love~

My Love,
You have stirred deep inside of me
A place so oddly familiar...
A place where the light in me shone so brightly
Through your boldness at times...
I can see with a clarity so clearly
Your pure intentions...
Like the moon sits upon the backdrop
Of an Indigo sky so peacefully.

I comprehend the many volumes you speak in silences
And each meaning conveyed in your need to withdrawal...
From your musings thoughtfully abstracted the truth is always surrendered.

My love,
I stand right before you
Though miles from your shore.
And yet my soul knows exactly where to look
and how to decipher
the many truths and secrets you have buried
upon the shoreline
deep within each grain of sand
on so many of your solitary walks
Along the beach...
Feeling the breeze
Wisping softly against your face.
Know you do not walk alone
For these are kisses from me.

I am strong enough to look into the depths of your soul
I see past just your eyes...
I remember the times I spent deciphering
Your blank stares.
For what lies past that is the story of the truth today.

I cherish the memories so foreign to you now.
I long to compliment and complete you.
Like the color of Manganese
One must risk it's toxicity
To truly be able to see and appreciate it's awe. Like the risk in loving what we can't see
We still share the same moon, sun, stars...
Look no further to also find me.

Try to remember the promise I made to you
for each time we had to depart from here
from oneanother
I vowed to always return to meet you
At our safe haven.

But only once we learned
How to recognizee
And where to look for and find the truth.
The key lies in being ready to hear the truth.

Hidden somewhere between the twilight's gleam
and the early morning dawn
Sparkles so many flickers of light
All vying for your undivided attention.
But only one tiny flicker will endure
Choosing the right one
Finding it...
One must go through many tries first
Many trials. But none were in vain.

Yes, you are bright, bold, and a rarity.
Do you even remember where to look for me?
What to do once you find my slumbering soul?

No matter if you do or not
One thing is certain. No matter how far apart
We are in mere miles physically.
We share the same indigo sky...
Under the same full moon in June
Seek the beauty of it's simplicity in its complexity.

I hear a symphony speak to me in your silences.
Love...
Feel the purity in my burning passion for you
And with nothing more to test...
Nothing more to question...
Simply feel my beauty as you trust the
feeling of the gentle breeze running through your
Hair, body and being.
For under this Moon and Indigo sky
know that it is I that has kissed your face
Like the wind, like that breeze.
You can't see it...until its a tornado
But you can always feel its stirrings.

~Sweet Surrender~

The irony of freedom in chains...I crave
The power I feel in my weakest moments when I totally surrender myself to you.
In exchange for you to hurt me...It frees me...
You are ever so gentle yet firm...As you inflict the pain that helps to heal me...
Heal the already open wounds I came to you with...
I enjoy the look into your eyes as you love to watch me suffer...
And when I finally start to feel again...Tears flow
You kiss away each teardrop... knowing that they don't belong to you
but because of you they are able to finally flow freely...
You instictively know where and how to touch me to make this happen...
To release me from my suffering you simply kiss each tear drop goodbye.
And when I arise from kissing your feet...I am stronger then before you had me kneel.

~Shaded Shadows~

Watch me leave now
You have chosen to close your eyes on too many things
That were so very vital to our existence

I sacrificed my soul willingly into your care
But in doing so, I have learned, I've grown up
And I have decided to take me back
I am too valuable a human being
And I surrive on emotions of which you can not return

You have left your eyes closed for too long now
But I have finally gained the courage to open my own
And I see you now as somehow different
I do not expect what you can not give anymore
I accept you as you are
A person reaching for similar heights
But with wants and needs different from my own
But different does not mean destructable

Our worlds are not running parallel any longer
So I have gone to follow my own path without you
And I am prepared to walk it alone

But with sun follows shadows
And I had been walking in your shadow for so long
Everytime I turned around to look behind me
There was a single shadow of you

Today I decided to only look at what was in front of me
And from a single rain puddle
I saw only a reflection of me
And the shadow of you?
Well, I just don't see it anymore

~JIGSAW~

Like bits and pieces of a puzzle
this thing we call love

Love can be a beautiful wonderous feeling
like a majical trick without any gimmicks

Love can also be a very intense and painful emotion
like a part of your soul is being torn apart

Piece by piece this is how we put
our relationship together
You adding your pieces
and me adding mine

It's these bits and pieces that fit
together to create one
But before it's completion
sometimes the pieces just stop fitting

And so,
it's left there for another
to come along destroying
an unfinished product

Not really aware of all the effort it took us
The patience we had
The time we spent putting it all together

And so another puzzle is started
Not knowing which pieces go where this time
Or just how far you might get...
Is a real jigsaw
