Wryly 12-16-2011 08:03 AM

I am NOT having nibbles of cookies, breads, meringues, gumdrops, Brickle, truffles, chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate Loonies and Toonies, licorace, ribbon candy or nougats. The first batch of Christmas cookies trays have gone out and we are taking a "baking break" for the weekend.
The insanity begins again next Monday!

Hopefully, tonight's dinner will be something I don't have to prepare!

A friend arrived from California to spend the holidays, and we had Indian food after I picker her up from the airport:
coconut nan, chicken tikka massala, vegetable kurma with coconut (she loves coconut), rice, Taj Mahal beer, chai, and afterwards, a long walk to the Promenade, with a view over the East River and Lower Manhattan.

John is making baked chicken* and broiled winter vegetables...

Also, he baked a TON while I worked and before football. I am not touching any of it except that he made me special zero-butter biscotti that are amazing.

However, if I were inclined there are espresso/cocoa cookies, cranberry bliss bars, chocolate/oat cookies and mexican wedding cakes.

*Btw, that chicken has lemons in it's butt. Just saying.

Skittlesluver 12-18-2011 07:02 PM
