Sorry about the lack of tomatoes, but that stuff was so amazing we had to rest for half an hour watching Kenny vs. Spenny afterwards. Laughter aids digestion (I think... I hope.)

ArkansasPiscesGrrl 02-18-2012 12:01 AM

had some friends over for dinner, made a pot roast in my crock pot, with brown gravy, onions, potatoes and mushrooms. Crescent rolls.

For dessert, I made Peach Cheesecake Enchiladas.

Friends left REALLY full, and now I have lots of leftovers to eat this weekend and still have some to stick in the freezer! I so love to entertain!

Licious 02-18-2012 12:50 AM

A simple baked chicken with yams, onions, celery, brown rice on the side. Not fancy but nutritious. :)

pajama 02-18-2012 07:09 PM

Oh my god I'm stuffed.

I decided to fry the shrimp tonight, I usually make it scampi. Did an egg-white wash then breaded it in a mix of flour, bread crumbs, cavenders, and cajun seasoning. OMG they turned out GREAT.

Also had mac and cheese, asparagus steamed in foil with a whole stick of butter, and fresh made cole slaw.

I am going to explode.

hahahahaha A 16 y/o boy and me....sorry....no leftovers.

And Cavender's is a greek seasoning. It's in one of those shakers similar to Tony Chachere's. I really like it on chicken, and just thought I would try it on the shrimp tonight. I don't know how to describe its flavor other than what it's not- not salty, peppery, garlicy, or oniony. It's just a subtle add on. Helpful huh? LOL

GPS 02-18-2012 07:29 PM

pot roast
carrots
baked potato wedges
tea

My pleasure. I miss our vacations to the gulf and the fresh shrimp. YUMMMMM Another way we use the cavendars is we take chicken thigh/leg quarters with the skin on. Pull the skin back and shake ALOT of the cavendars on it and then pull the skin back over it. Bake. You can choose to eat or leave the skin, but it has allowed the cavendars to nicely season the chicken. I've tried it on white meat, but it just turns out better on the dark meet IMHO.

Have a good evening.
