I had a huge salad made of romaine, mixed greens, sliced mushrooms, Roma tomatoes, and light Ranch dressing. That was the good for me part. Then I had a bunch of cookies (Keebler's Fudge Shoppe Coconut Dreams) that probably weren't as good for me, but they tasted super yummy.

Sitting here eating food from Sonic as I type.

I have a guest here who's had her chemo session and never knows what she'll have a taste for. Tonight it was hot dogs, so I went to the drive thru for her. I, of course had to try the Chicago Dog along with onion rings and Ocean Water. Hers had mustard and relish along with tater tots and Dr Pepper.

I have had more fast food this week than I've had in months. I probably put a few pounds back on. Next week, I'll be back to cooking meals for just me.

Greco 05-14-2011 04:40 PM

soup? soup.

alright veggie soup experiment

veggie broth

red onion large cut in half

garlic oregano fresh basil

sweet potato cut

sea salt a little

kale cilantro carrots

well sounds good

BUT I must have missed
something because it was
tasteless for me

I MUST get a veggie/vegan
cook book

Perhaps I'll blend all ingredients
tomorrow and give it another
shot

having tea and "licking my wounds"
at being a beginner at this thing

I admit it thought it would be
just throwing stuff together

obviously there must be more
to it.

So, its to the cook book for me.

Luckily a kind person has suggested
one that I'll get on Mon.

In the meantime, I'll blend tomorrow
and if it fails to taste good

I'll juice it always tastes good in
juice form

Greco still open to learning new things

Have a great dinner everyone!

I spoke too soon. Or ate too soon.

Whatever.

I'm still hungry, dammit.

Red grapes and some black raspberry ice cream are on their way! If that doesn't do it, I'm going to toss in some kettle corn popcorn.

amiyesiam 05-14-2011 06:39 PM

homemade sausage and cheese buscuits

wolfbittenpoet 05-14-2011 06:53 PM

For farther elaboration cincinatti chili meat with all right spices cinnamon nutmeg chocolate chili powder. Simmered for 6 hours or so. Then placed on cooked spaghetti with cheddar cheese chopped onions and red kidney beans. Is heaven.

Solution for Greco

Greco,

My friend whom I visited tonight lives a very food-healthy lifestyle and was vegan/vegetarian for many years. I asked her tonight about a cookbook that might help you! She mentioned the book below, and pulled it off of her cabinet shelf for me to take a look inside! It's a great resource - helping you to build your vegan/vegetarian lifestyle with the right ingredients to have in your home, plus lots of yummy-licious sounding recipes.

The name of the book is The Complete Vegetarian Kitchen. The author is Lorna J. Sass.

Here's a link for you!
