Bison burgers with sauteed onions and mushrooms
asparagus
corn on the cob
dill pickles -- i ate so many they count as a side

fizzy water

for dessert -- cherries

later while watching old episodes of True Blood with a friend -- popcorn

We had grilled steamers and corn last nght.

I made a dipping sauce for the steamers, which was delicious, but

I don't know if I'd grill clams again.

I wish I could tell you more Elle. I had dinner at a Demo's restaurant in Lebanon, Tn. They make a dozen fresh made, original recipes and this one is delicious. Everything I make this drive, I stop for dinner.

I don't rightly know yet. I know it will involve the yummy hormone and bad stuff free steaks we picked up earlier and probably some veggies and maybe a couple of sweet potatoes, but I can't say for sure.

I made some delicio sirloin steaks with a light soy garlic sauce and sauted onions and mushrooms to go on top plus baked sweet potatoes and oven cooked mixed veggies and completed the meal with a mixed spring greens side salad.

Thanks for the link! I looked at the menu, and it is called "blackened chicken pasta"! Blackened fish is a recipe from Louisiana, the fish is coated with a very spicy mix and cooked in a very hot pan so a crust forms on the outside (that's the "blackened") while the fish is very tender and sweet inside. It became quite the obsession and soon every restaurant was doing not only fish but steak and chicken "blackened". So that explains it! The chicken is "blackened" and then used in the pasta sauce!

I had a French picnic with my 6th graders, and they baked ham and cheese croissants, nutella croissants, meringues in pale shades of green and pink, cream puffs with crème pâtissière and golden caramel threads, flourless gâteau au chocolat, madeleines, and others brought several fromages, and the best baguettes in NYC, from Amandine in Dumbo, fresh made limonade, cherries.....
No room for dinner, I just had a small cup of organic yogurt!
These kids are amazing chefs! They love to cook and bake!

Kinda nauseated today...so probably will have brown rice and chicken of some sort.

Oh and lots of water.

DamonK 06-01-2011 02:00 PM

I'm still contemplating.

Chicken of some kind...baked probably....maybe oven fried.
Potatoes of some kind...maybe baked since that'd be easiest
Stir fried green beans probably

And the girl will kill me if I don't make homemade bread
