I will be having char-grilled oysters, fried shrimp, fried oysters, washed down with some cold beers. At midnight I will be having Moet-Chandon....Happy New years!!!!

I am NOT cooking tonight. I'm going to perch myself in bed with water, juice, holiday chocolate, leftover pizza from days ago & wings.
On new years day my family always got together for rice, sweet & sour meatballs, honey garlic spare ribs and the like; I miss being able to walk into that knowing I was going to have the most wonderful comfort food WITHOUT having to be the one to make it hungover. |
Something simple..
A big stockpot of homemade Texas chilli w/ melted extra sharp cheddar on top, and homemade cornbread and buttermilk bisquits.

Casa de Snow decided on finger foods for the New Year's Eve celebration, and we kept it simple.
Chicken Wings with Grant's Spicy Garlic BBQ Hot Sauce and blue cheese for dipping. Steamed Pork Dumplings with a lemon grass ginger dipping sauce I made on the fly. It is soy sauce based. Shrimp Cocktail Hot Artichoke and Crab Bake served with tortilla chips for dipping. Fried Mozzarella Sticks Tossed Green Salad Ms helped me assemble the dumplings and grateful i am for Her help!!! #kissesHersexyfoot |
Later this evening it will be, a New york strip, black eyed peas, cabbage greens, champagne.

Tonight's dinner consisted of a sandwich made from a toasted everything bagel with honey roasted turkey and cheese and a strawberry pineapple smoothie.

I had a delicous piece of Shepherds Pie that my bestfriend made for me while she was visiting....it was scrumptious..........thank you Keran.

For The Boy's last solid meal for a few days, we had smoked pork chops, fried okra, and mashed potatoes. Then around 11pm we're going to have biscuits with butter and honey for dessert. Then NPO after midnight.
