I just had late lunch with my son at OG and it took 45 min to get food I sent back. So for dinner I had dessert. That they didn't screw up!

For 100 bucks I could have made dinner for 6 people, salad and dessert and wine.

Chancie 12-31-2012 04:20 PM

I asked Pete what she wanted for dinner, and

She opened the freezer and stared, plaintively.

She spied the meatballs we froze after

We made chicken fricassee for Christmas, and

She asked for spaghetti and meatballs.

It was a most delicious vegetable and coconut curry with long grain rice. I prefer basmati rice with curry but forgot to buy more after I gave the last of it to a friend to dry out their iPhone. http://phumphries.com/forums/images/...s/headspin.gif

(it worked btw)

I am NOT cooking tonight. I'm going to perch myself in bed with water, juice, holiday chocolate, leftover pizza from days ago & wings.
On new years day my family always got together for rice, sweet & sour meatballs, honey garlic spare ribs and the like; I miss being able to walk into that knowing I was going to have the most wonderful comfort food WITHOUT having to be the one to make it hungover.

Talon 01-01-2013 11:08 AM

Something simple..

A big stockpot of homemade Texas chilli w/ melted extra sharp cheddar on top, and homemade cornbread and buttermilk bisquits.

Casa de Snow decided on finger foods for the New Year's Eve celebration, and we kept it simple.
Chicken Wings with Grant's Spicy Garlic BBQ Hot Sauce and blue cheese for dipping.
Steamed Pork Dumplings with a lemon grass ginger dipping sauce I made on the fly. It is soy sauce based.
Shrimp Cocktail
Hot Artichoke and Crab Bake served with tortilla chips for dipping.

Tossed Green Salad

Ms helped me assemble the dumplings and grateful i am for Her help!!! #kissesHersexyfoot
