We are on vacation and I bought three pounds of steamers and 1.3 pounds of haddock from a little roadside stand.

If it stops raining, I will ask Pete to grill the fish, along with some cauliflower and potatoes.

I will make the steamers on the stove, I think.

The steamers and the haddock were delicious, so fresh and sweet.

The cauliflowers, peppers, and potatoes were soft and spicy and impossible to stop eating.

The Coronas with lime were the perfect beverage.

We are on vacation in an undisclosed location and

Pete is learning how to grill with charcoal.

We have a gas grill at home.

She is much more cautious than I am when she cooks, but

I burn at least 50% of all sausages made on the grill.

Tonight we are having hotdogs, local corn, and zucchini, and

Pete might have more blueberry pie for dessert.

I had a few wrinkles while I waited for Pete to wake up and light the chimney.

It is getting to be too hot and humid to have a desire to cook or eat anything that is hot, so I made a big ass bowl of chicken salad, with celery, red seedless grapes, granny smith apples, grape tomatoes and walnuts in it. I will make chicken salad lettuce wraps, along with a salad or some raw veggies and fruit throughout the week.

girl_dee 07-29-2013 09:13 PM

Since you asked sure as a snack but IMHO not as dinner....:|

Chancie 07-30-2013 07:24 PM

We shared a huge platter of delicious freshly caught seafood for a late lunch so we weren't hungry at dinner time but there was defrosted chicken in the fridge so poor Pete is grilling while mosquitoes dive bomb her.

We did have some homemade blueberry pie and we were forced to taste the chicken, which was really good, probably because it's been marinating in the freezer for weeks, yum yum.
