I am making King Ranch Chicken Casserole.

I an frying fish,baking seasoned french fry's plus gonna fix a fruit meadly for desert.

Looks like we will be having rib eyes, corn soufflé, and baked beans!

Had not eaten all day ...
Came home and wolfed ...
2 banana sandwiches (mayo on both) with big milk to drink

Just finished the 2nd one now .... ahhhh, I feel so much better already. :)

I'm outta control and I don't care, lol
 

Ice cream! This one - because I've been out in the sunshine all afternoon and now I want something cold.

oh mah word, dusa. i'm in heaven.

I made pasta with a throw together sauce....
I sauted garlic in olive oil...added basil...then some frozen pepper mix....a can of diced tomatoes with the juice...cooked down the juice and added a jar of trader joes red pepper/eggplant/garlic sauce....a little more basil and its dinner.
But it will have to be lunch tomorrow since its way too late to eat...

Nuked Healthy Choice Salisbury Steak that included green beans and apple pie. More milk to drink.

Hamburgers loaded with veggies, Asian avocados, chips!

We had an early Pesach (Passover) dinner and seder with my brother and his husband:

Savory Matzoh kugel (like stuffing, yum, a specialty of BB's that hy worked on all day)
Tzimmes (candied carrots)
Hillel Sandwiches (Matzoh on top and bottom with horseradish and Charoset in the middle, Charoset is a mix of apples, sweet wine, walnuts, cinnamon, and honey)
Matzah ball soup
Kedem grape juice

It was a nice night with lots of laughs, singing songs in Hebrew, and of course a lot of eating! We used a queer haggadah to read from for the seder.

Got a roasted chicken hot off the grill at QFC and cottage cheese.

Papa johns pizza with Canadian bacon, bacon, and grilled chicken. Oh so terrible for me but YUM!!

nuked 4 white crystal frozen hamburgers, milk to drink

And every last one of them tasted gross!

Why do I keep buying chit such as this???

Visiting dad at hospital......he doing good going home tomorrow had awesome salad bar....peas carrot sunflower seed kidney beans cottage cheese turkey my faves! Yum

Bolganaise sauce over thin spaghetti and garlic bread.

Smoked turkey sandwich on wheat with Colby Jack cheese, lettuce, onions, pickles, jalapeños, mustard and mayo. The dang thing was so big I couldn't eat it all in one setting.

Thanks meat market folks that feed us well while we're on duty!

I am slow and low heat steaming a ring of kielbasa in shallow water with some onion cut up for added flavor, this meat for me is always best when finished cooking allowed to cool off as it gets more firm. The accompaniment that goes with the kielbasa is halushki, a blend of sauteed onions and chopped cabbage in a skillet and at the end adding some cooked wide noodles, not to many! For my personal taste I like to add in a good tablespoon of cottage cheese to it on my plate! Applesauce for something sweet, baked in the oven for a bit with small cinnamon red hot candies (the chewy kind) for added flavor making this combination very familiar. Comfort food, childhood.....tis the season with Easter rolling around.

I remember taking the above mentioned along with sliced ham, hard boiled eggs (decorated) and other various foods in an Easter basket to the church to be blessed, 10 little B's strolling down the aisle toward the altar, Easter bonnets up top and my Mom's hand made dresses that matched for all 7 of us girls! White gloved hands, shiny shoes with our knee high socks or stockings (which ever you could find). My 3 brothers dressed in suits, with slicked hair to keep it in place, shiny shoes and shirts buttoned all the way up with a tie. A rare occasion for them to use Dad's hair stuff and Old Spice! Always thankful....many memories..... I love my life! Happy Easter, or Happy whatever you celebrate (or not).
