Butch Femme Planet - What are you having for dinner tonight?

I just diced up sweet and russet potatoes, drizzled with EVO, salted with sea salt and put in my toaster oven to roast. Will broil a small sirloin steak to medium rare when the potatoes are done. Trying to decide if I want to add a veggie, since my choices are only canned today. Would have liked to have carrots in the house to glaze.

I decided to open a can of beets, added a little butter and microwaved until butter melted.

Decided to stop by a Waffle House on my way home from my getaway weekend with my granddaughter, because my brother always made it sound so good and was halfway through my waffle and homefries when I looked over and saw the filth on the floor and cook area, after Granddaughter asked me if there had been a food fight. :gag: I'm sure that there are probably places I've eaten in regularly that have kitchens as nasty as that, but they aren't publicly visible kitchens.

Re-birthday celebration for me. My present was preparing a nice, intimate dinner for Syr and myself..

Hamburger steaks with mushroom gravy, sauteed onions and garlic
Mashed taters with butter and cream
steamed cauliflower
hot, out of the oven french bread

for dessert we had vanilla and red velvet cake ice cream!

i won't mention the appetizer menu but that was the best part! :blush:

Avocados that were a bit too ripe
covered with lime juice and salt
some lovely hot picante
all on tortillas warm from the burner
I home squeezed lime-o-naid
