it's a new recipe found online...and it's not to bad...just maybe a keeper.

I'm digging everything but the soy milk in there... is it part of a dressing for the salad?

I can't decide what to eat here...

Gemme 07-19-2016 04:36 PM

I'm eating a black bean burger patty with a slice of Swiss cheese, broccoli and some Good Health Kettle Chips Sweet Potato: Sweet Chipotle chips. Super yummy.

the soy milk is part of the dressing..but it also stated you could use water. honestly, you can't even taste it. It takes place of oil.

Dinner break at work. Two hard boiled eggs, handful of cherry tomatoes with some mini peppers, string cheese, cottage cheese topped with fresh blueberries. Ginger ice tea.

Saving room for ice cream when I get home!

CherryWine 07-19-2016 05:30 PM

I picked up a barbacoa burrito from the local taqueria on my way home, and I'll likely have some cherries for dessert later.

BullDog 07-19-2016 05:39 PM

Pizza and strawberry twizzlers, lol.

I do have chicken and other things I really need to cook soon.

Brooklyn 07-19-2016 05:54 PM

Had a grilled cheeseburger with pepper jack cheese and sauteed onions - and a few Lays potato chips on the side

I forgot the watermelon. I had the last of it, about 6 cubes.

RockOn 07-19-2016 06:36 PM

black seedless grapes so far ... may or may not have some tuna and crackers later ... really not hungry much tonight ... went and got a veggie and cheese subway right before lunch, brought it back to work and worked lunch ... I still feel full from the sub

Jesse 07-19-2016 06:46 PM

I had a couple of plain sugar & nitrate free beef franks. I wasn't hungry enough to fix anything else to go with them because I've been experimenting with making Paleo tortillas, and well, someone had to taste test. :)

That sounds amazing. I made something similar that was a nod to chicken salad but with chickpeas. I added celery and spices and a wee bit of mayo and it was GOOD.

PS your post reminded me that I have avocados!

Ps #2 try feta with avocado some time. Its like they were made for each other...lemon also adds some happiness to It...yummers

Bèsame* 07-20-2016 09:20 PM

OMG...the best Alfredo sauce ever!

Homemade with butter, cream cheese, half and half, garlic and added jalapeño. There was big fat shrimp over noodles.

A Diet Coke float was a treat as well!

candy_coated_bitch 07-21-2016 12:11 AM

Veggie "chicken" nuggets and tater tots. Klondike bar for dessert.

Orema 07-21-2016 04:41 AM

Grilled salmon with miso sauce, cauliflower rice, roasted peach or apple for dessert.

Brooklyn 07-21-2016 03:33 PM

A sloppy joe with some french fries sounds really good... then washing it down with some sweet iced tea.

GeorgiaMa'am 07-21-2016 05:30 PM

- lime and orange juice marinated chicken, grilled
- rice with some tomatoes and tiny, sweet, white corn kernels
- some really beautifully caramelized maduros/plantains
- corn tortillas - the smell of the lightly grilled masa flour was wondrous (Jesse, your experiments have put tortillas in my mind for days)

JDeere 07-21-2016 05:42 PM

Steak and snow pea stir fry with rice. Tea to drink.

*Anya* 07-21-2016 05:43 PM

The GF is at the chiropractor and it is 83 degrees right now, which means no cooking tonight.

I made a sandwich with low carb bread, ham, Swiss cheese, tomatoes, romaine lettuce and avocado.

The bread makes it look like a miniature sandwich but packed!

Sparkling water to drink.

Gemme 07-21-2016 05:58 PM

I had an ancient grains vegetable soup with Goldfish crackers. Just a tiny bit of ice cream tonight. I'm not 100% tonight.

Jesse 07-21-2016 10:22 PM

I had another taco salad because they are so good, and I needed to use up the leftover meat and avocado.

candy_coated_bitch 07-21-2016 10:39 PM

I had hummus with pita chips and kalamata olives.

Brooklyn 07-22-2016 05:03 PM

Tonight's cheeseburger was: Grilled with pepper jack cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on a toasted hamburger bun. I had a salad on the side (actually did the other night too instead of fries).

That cheeseburger was the bomb -- just a food explosion in my mouth.

Oh and a Dasani bottle water to drink.

Liam 07-22-2016 05:13 PM

Blakes Shepherd's Pie, my current favorite frozen meal.

Jesse 07-22-2016 05:56 PM

Baked magic mushroom wings finished by tossing with butter and Sriracha chili sauce, baked sweet potato, and turnip greens with peppa sauce.

Gemme 07-22-2016 06:30 PM

I had a chipotle black bean burger on a multigrain sandwich thin with schmears of spicy guac, swiss cheese and bbq sauce plus red seedless grapes and 2 lemon meringue Jello cups with flavored water.

stargazingboi 07-22-2016 06:33 PM

a bowl of pasta salad

GeorgiaMa'am 07-22-2016 06:58 PM

A flatbread pizza from Publix with chicken, artichokes and spinach. It was pretty good. Lemonade.

I also learned that when you order ahead online, there's a special place in the deli where you can pick up your order - you don't have to wait in the sandwich line. I have a feeling I will be eating more subs from the deli on grocery shopping days.

easygoingfemme 07-22-2016 08:07 PM

I had my first experience with a bloomin' onion. :|:hangloose:

randrum 07-22-2016 10:32 PM

Italian sausage and green pepper pizza. With my new favorite to drink: Faygo Rock and Eye (vanilla cream soda with cherry).

I know! It was at our local county fair so... fair food treat. Then I drank a gallon of water. I have no regrets.

Orema 07-23-2016 07:57 AM

Grlled salmon and grilled asparagus.

GeorgiaMa'am 07-23-2016 02:57 PM

A Philly Cheese steak sub with grilled mushrooms and onions from Publix.

Okay, so today I went back to Publix to buy the things I forgot to buy yesterday. I discovered the flip side of the order-ahead deli service: if they're behind schedule, your order won't be ready on time. I waited next to the special pick-up area, all alone, hungry, and no sandwich. While I waited, I watched the entire regular line of people who were ordering their subs on the spot cycle through at least 10 people. If I hadn't ordered ahead, I would have gotten my sub faster.

On the positive side, my sandwich maker didn't charge me for the extra cheese I ordered, and it was a nice gesture, but $1 isn't really worth 15 minutes of my time - especially hungry, and watching everyone else's delicious sandwiches being made.

candy_coated_bitch 07-23-2016 03:19 PM

Veggie burgers, corn on the cob, squash, and triple berry pie for dessert.

Gayandgray 07-23-2016 06:17 PM

Home made mac & cheese, grilled veggie and regular burgers, squash, watermelon.

Gemme 07-23-2016 06:27 PM

I had tuna fish sandwiches.
