RockOn 01-22-2018 06:59 PM

oh yes Mopsie!!!

Cadbury Creme Eggs are the best. I can make myself sick if I sit down with 6 or 8 and a quart of milk.

In fact, I have seen me do it!

I only allow myself to purchase no more than two at a time ... keeps me safe and well.

Where are you getting them this time of year?

I occasionally see them in the dollar type stores when it is not close to Easter.

RockOn they are EVERYWHERE here! I found them in Walmart, in Food Lion, and Dollar General. Tonight I bought them at CVS. And I started seeing them like 3 weeks ago.

Gemme 01-22-2018 08:14 PM

I had watermelon salad: watermelon, baby arugula and feta chunks. That would have been great but I also followed it with some Belly Flops.

The salad was delicious, though.

I have northern white beans and spiral ham, simmering in the crock pot, for supper tonight. I let it simmer all day until the beans are reduced to pulp. Then I add butter and non-dairy cream to make it creamy....then I dice up an sweet onion to put on top of an bowl of soup. I'm going to make some biscuits by scratch, but I'd rather have hush puppies and honey (making my grocery list today).

Lyte 01-23-2018 05:09 PM

Some pulled pork 'n' chicken from a local BBQ place ... and salad. <-- I've been advised to eat more veggies! lol

Orema 01-23-2018 05:10 PM

My buddy ‘Trina made me a huge bowl of chili so that’s what I’m having for dinner and lunch tomorrow! She even brought me some crackers. Lucky me :)

Mopsie 01-23-2018 06:05 PM

Tonight I went to a local Indian restaurant that is family run. I only go like once a month but I'm a creature of habit and they know me. When I walked in the lady said, "Your usual?"

Yes please!! :awww:

(My usual is lamb samosas and grilled veggies.)

Gemme 01-23-2018 06:36 PM

I had soup and some Belly Flops. Luckily, there's not many left.

Red Light District

Sitting across town waiting on my daughter's orchestra rehearsal to finish at 9:00. Was going to go home for a quick grilled cheese and soup. Instead I was seduced by the glowing red Arby's sign. ☹️
Dinner was a beef n' cheddar sandwich and some bronco berry bites (fried cream cheese stuffed peppers.) oh, and a Dr. Pepper.

I should feel guilty but instead I feel defiant.

Katniss~~ (it's the fake raspberry dipping sauce that makes it)

Medusa 01-24-2018 04:12 PM

Thanks-giving

Having been sick going on two weeks I have been blessed with friends who have dropped off a meatloaf, mashed potatoes, butter peas, chicken supreme, homemade vegetable soup, chili, lasagna, and banana pudding.
Tonight I heated up the chicken and mashed potatoes. The food was good but the blessing and kindness of friends were what made the meal.

Katniss~~

Kätzchen 01-27-2018 08:22 PM

I kept it simple, tonight... I made a small casserole of Hugh protein bow tie pasta, with small petite sweet peas, and used an on-dairy sour cream for the sauce base and parmesan cheese. It was delicious. :balloon:

bright_arrow 01-27-2018 09:11 PM

Bèsame* 01-28-2018 09:38 AM

Tonight, I'm going to try , baked coconut shrimp.

Last night I started the shrimperee, with spicy shrimp sushi. I withheld the rice and just stacked it on the plate. Sweet shrimp on top of an avocado/ cucumber mix. That shrimp was so fresh and sweet, it was almost like lobster!

Also, made baked Parmesan zucchini sticks. ( dip in egg, then parm cheese..bake...ta da..goodness)

Breathless 01-28-2018 03:42 PM

Tonight is chicken enchilada's (low carb) and extra spicy, just how I like it!
