A New Year's dinner
 
Foie gras, seared breast of duck with pear chutney and pomegranate glaze, sweet potato pancakes, salad of fennel, English cucumber and pear thinly sliced and marinated in olive oil, Meyer lemon juice and zested rind with Moroccan oil-cured black olives, a nice chunk of cheddar, a Meyer lemon/meringue tart, all with Champagne.
Coconut milk/Chai truffles with espresso, and Armagnac, later.

Dumped some canned pinto beans on a paper plate. On top of that, I put diced jalapeno peppers, hot sauce and grated cheese. After I nuked it for 3.5 minutes, I spooned a little sour creme on top. Drank grape kook-aide with it.

Posole or Pozole soup is made with pork & hominy and chilli peppers preferably chipole peppers served with cilantro sometimes served with avacados and tostada shells

Leftovers! Enough foie gras for one toast, carrot/ginger soup, half a duck breast and one lovely sweet potato pancake, and I'll make an endive salad with fennel and oranges...a great Bordeaux....nice meal!
