my work family fed me....

for an appetizer we had...

apple slices with this beautiful artisan creamed honey that their family sent from Virginia....they were cinnamon and lemon flavored respectively....guess which one was my favorite :) We also had this wonderful cheese from Trader Joe's that I forget the name of....nut its a cheddar with a purplish rind....gorgeous...sweet...mellow...a little salty...Id love to have it with some fig jam...

main course was very lovely homemade chicken soup with veggies... I told them that it was such a French meal...all we needed was crusty bread.... :)

Fried rice with veggies, teriyaki drumsticks, and an awesome salad with power greens, pears, gorgonzola and cranberries. No room for dessert...

Rotisserie chicken and spinach

Sweet Bliss 09-16-2014 06:07 PM

Giant meatballs, pasta, salad, diet cherry coke. Chocolate chunk cookies for dessert.

Sigh. I'm tired tonight. Didn't do much today. Must just be the stress of my rambling thoughts.

JDeere 09-16-2014 06:26 PM

Thick cut peppered bacon, sunny side up eggs, toast with jam, glass of milk

cinnamongrrl 09-17-2014 04:52 PM

I had a naughty high calorie splurge.....

fried catfish
hushpuppies
baked tater
fried okra

I did not make this beautiful feast. The restaurant down the street did. And wow.... I will be frequenting it frequently! For the same price of an average meal at Mcds...I got all of the above....

and for dessert.....

apple caramel and pumpkin ice cream for dessert.... I went in for a sundae....but I oohed and awwed over the seasonal flavors...and the store keeper gave me samples without my even having to ask....so....it was a quick sale lol....

what can I say....when I'm bad....I'm realllyyyyy bad....oh...and I had dessert first...its so great to be a grownup (sometimes)

I would have had to arm wrestle you for the pie. I've got more fudge, though. :)

We are going out to a Thai restaurant tonight.

Either an old favorite that we have been to a few times or we will do the Yelp thing and find a new, highly rated one to try.

When I first met my GF, I thought I did not like Thai food but I love it now.

One of my favorite dishes is fresh fish with lots of garlic in a light brown sauce (no idea what is in it but it tastes so good). :fishswim:

Always some kind of delicious, clear broth soup, with veggies in it.

Yum.
