Not all of Cali is hot, Lipstix. I was born and raised in L.A. Always hated summer. I have heat intolerance ... I've lived on the east coast and in Oregon. I live in the Bay Area now. There are microclimates here, with temperature differences as much as 15 or greater degrees.

In Oakland, where I live, there are fewer foggy days, lots of sunshine, and warmer temps as compared to San Francisco. It can get up to 90s, and just when I start to whine, the natural air conditioning - fog - comes rolling in and cools things down. The cycle goes three days of heat, then fog comes. Works great for me.
