We live in times more sensitive than ever to hatred based violence. Over the last decade, more than one person per month has died due to transgender-based hate or prejudice, regardless of any other factors in their lives. This trend shows no sign of abating. Many of these crimes remain unreported and unsolved.

With this in mind we invite you to please stand with us in solidarity Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 6:30 pm on the steps of City Hall.

I'm not going to be able to make this event.....started feeling oogly yesterday and all stopped up. This morning, I have a heinous cold (I blame Billy for texting it to me!) and feeling pretty cruddy! Found some DayQuil and it's barely putting a dent in the stopped up part of it (though did help the scratchy throat!).....

If anyone goes....carry my spirit up there, too and light a candle for me....I'll be lighting them here at the house.
