I miss when phones were phones and nothing else. I miss the days when you called someone and just hung up if they weren't there or you hung up if you got a busy signal.

I don't like call waiting, call forwarding, or any of those things because I always end up hanging up on everyone.

And anyway, being attached to a phone 24/7 cramps my style.

Things I miss as a couple ....

Going to our favorite pub on a Sunday morning, splitting the Sunday paper, reading, chatting and drinking coffee over a hot breakfast, then going home for a lazy afternoon.

Going to the bookstore just to browse the books in the isle. Maybe flirt a bit when we pass each other.

Reaching out for hys hand in the middle of the night.

I miss my parents around this time of year. I wish I appreciated them when they were still alive. The older I get, the more I realize how good they were as parents and how much they gave me (not just materially)
