Italian snail salad I like - chilled, sliced marinated rubber is tasty. Escargot is just gross.

Oh, how could I forget? Sushi.
As a nurse, I know a little too much about it. 'Nuff said.

I love pickled okra! It has to be fresh and crispy. I fry my okra in a cast iron skillet with cornmeal too. My grandmother taught me how, I cut the okra up, rinse in with water, cover the bowl with corn meal and shake it up. Then I put the okra in a plastic bag in the freezer for 30 mins to let the cormeal stick. Then fry it up. What I don't like is when someone fries their okra with tomatoes. Yuck!

I had some NASTY Thai one time when I was on the way Ithaca for a day trip (when I used to live in upstate NY many moons ago)
Thankfully, I had had GOOD Thai already, otherwise that stuff would have sworn me off it. Makes me wonder if my first experience with Vietnamese food was a bad fluke....it wasn't BAD persay...it was just really SALTY tasting...and this from a girl who loves her salt!
