Good idea Blade! Also good practise if you use a baitcaster so as to avoid birdnesting while on the water and basic embarrassment in front of pals lol
I try not to get upset when myself or someone with me hangs up. Often the best spots to cast to are under that tree limb or next to that fall down. Fishing is the same as realestate - it's all about the location location location! I bought some lure retrievers which are basically a piece of lead with a paperclip attached to it. You thread the paperclip around your line then just let the lead fall, the weight of the lead hit the lure, hopefully dislodging it. It saves tons of time and actually works!!! You can buy them at walmart. One last tip, my favorite lures are rapalas. Go to www.rapala.com and they have video tips for their lures to best utilize them. I learned alot!!! The videos are about 15 minutes long and have no commercials cause, really, the whole video is a commercial. But the information is really good. They also have a tshirt I HAVE to buy!! It shows a rapala lure and it say - take a fish boating! lmao!!!!!!! I think I'll put that as my sig line ![]() ~~~shark~~~~~~~
