Fresh fish is rarely ever fishy. I'm spoiled when it comes to fish. I think there is a world of difference between fresh and even flash frozen. It all depends on the type of fish. Rainbow trout is white, clean tasting and really yummy if cooked right. Lake trout on the other hand tends to be larger and more fishy. Salt water fish it varies. Most people like sea bass and grouper, white flesh, deep water. You can also soak fillet fish in milk for a few hours to add fat and help remove fishy smell and taste.
