Oprah's Last Show: September 9, 2011

Am I the only one around here who cannot stand Oprah?

Oh, I'm sure there are others. But I do have to say that she did a lot given the racism and other obstacles she's faced over the years. And any show that's been on TV for 25 years is impressive, like her or not (I'm not overly fond of her myself but it is a feat that is rarely met these days).

I like Oprah, I respect her accomplishments. It is time for her to move on to something less public. She will be establishing a new television network and I think it is time for that as well. I will hope that it has quality programing for a wide range of individuals and does not have the "censoring" when big business owns you.

Personally, I think in addition to starting a new network the woman is getting ready to make a run for a Congerssional Seat, Senate seat or VP... with Sarah Palin not disappearing the Democrats are going to have to have a woman that is politically savvy, well liked and respected and can express herself without stuttering, saying duh or looking like she has an eyelash stuck in her eye....and she is hot and down to earth!

Will be interesting to see if she moves her home in the next 120 days...

Yes, there are others out there who do not care for Oprah, and I am one of them. I stopped liking her when I saw her interview the Hanson conjoined twins.

Nope, I have seen one maybe two shows in the years that she has been on television. I don't watch any talk shows. So it is not just her! I find them mostly (not always) exploiting of people in vulnerable situations.
