Okay, we call players and gigolos "Romeo" but Romeo wasn't a playa. He was loyal and devoted—Juliet was the only chick on his mind. Right? Right.

So, I'm wonderin' why do we call players and gigolos "Romeo" when Romeo was anything but a player?

Maybe it's because even though it's forbidden love they can still sweep a girl off her feet

Maybe because Romeo was able to capture the love and attention of Juliet, who was destined to hate him. To create love from hate could be seen as a big feat (although they were not fully committed to the feud like the rest of their families to begin with).

Or maybe because there are just so many players in history that they had to pick one name and they liked Romeo best?

On the flip side, I think I'd like to have a black cat named Jezebel one day.

Last night, I lay sleepless in bed, questioning whether I've made the right decisions regarding Oliver.

Not that I know much of the situation with your cat but, from what I have read on here I believe you are the only one who made the right decisions concerning your cat. And now he feels lots of love instead of loneliness,well that's what I would think a cat in the shelter would feel

BTW, I used to know a kitty named Romeo. He was very cute and cool.

I'm thinking of getting a cat. I even have a cat door (came with the place).

Jezebel is a cool name. Hope you get a black cat and give her that name.

Who thought it up? When did it first make an appearance? What exactly is it? Why can't I pronounce it correctly EVER? Isn't it just a sort of jazzed up mayo? These are some of the questions that keep me up at night

I have so many at night, since my mind races while I am trying to sleep.

Most of them are personal and stuff along the lines of, am I good enough?, etc.
