I miss back when life was simpler....old fashioned Christmas....none of the commercialism like today...
I miss my parents & siblings, & grandmother.....life was far richer then....rich in quality, love, & being together... Yes, I miss those long ago, wonderful, simple Christmas holidays...an old sock filled with an orange, apple, peppermint stick,a handful of silver coins (usually no more than a dollar BUT oh boy that went a long ways...  ... & a book of lifesavers!!!! Couple of pieces of chocolate..REAL chocolate...I miss the simplicity of having a "big" gift and 3 or 4 smaller ones.....usually new pj's, new shoes, and a couple outfits for school....heart gifts....

An confession about...
5 Good Things:
5) Sunshine, after days of rain or snow. I love basking in the sunshine. 4) Clouds. Watching clouds float across the sky; especially if there's a rainbow after the storm. 3) The fragrance of home cooked meals: Today, I made a special meatless meatloaf of all kind of root vegetables. It smells heavenly. 2) Natural nails: I keep my natural nails natural, clean, and shape them daily to keep them sharp. I rarely polish them because I prefer to buff them to a gloss with coconut oil. 1) I feel good today because I have been spoiling myself, which feels really good.

I confess that I said some mean things to a friend of mine who hurt me bad. She betrayed me and I let her know she hurt me, but I guess I could have been a bit " gentler" about it. And I confess this perimenopause is makin me feel pretty bad some days.
