Spotlight (warning: triggers)

I really enjoyed it. It was well written and the story was easy to follow. Investigative journalism is the real star of this movie. All the actors were good, but I especially liked Stanley Tucci. He had a small but important role. I expect this move to garner some Oscar nominations and I look forward to seeing it again when it comes out on dvd.

I watched a cotton candy (aka brain fluff) movie tonight.

It's not old but it has a 'pre good CG' feel to it.

White Christmas

I think I have a new disciple to Edith Head's costume and design magnificence. My daughter now also loves her work, and we both swooned over the dresses. Of particular adoration: Rosemary's black velvet cocktail dress, the black gown with the cutout neckline, and of course the final scene red satin gowns with white fur trim.

Interestingly, we also had a poignant side conversation about anorexia thanks to Vera-Ellen.

I finally saw "The Martian" starring Matt Damon. I really enjoyed it.

I streamed 3 A.M. and liked it.

Starring Danny Glover, Pam Greer, Michele Rodriquez, Sarita Choudhury. Got to see life from the POV of some cab drivers. Music was good with some interesting story lines. Nothing to write home about, but it wasn't a waste of time.

Also saw Die Hard and that was good.

Think I'm gonna see The Big Short tomorrow or Thursday...

Saw Sisters with two of my besties.... kept thinking we shoulda smuggled in margaritas. It had funny moments, but would have been better if we'd been home watching it with a bunch of muchies and drinks. We were the loudest laughers in the theater...LOL

I finally watched Silver Linings Playbook. I give it 3.5 out of 5. It was entertaining, but I felt like it was trying to go somewhere that it never got to.
