I'm about halfway through a to-do list that keeps growing. But I keep crossing things off too. I did an old trick where when I went to make my list up I started with three things I had already done today so I could start off with crossing things off right away

Fueled up my truck.
Picked up some stuff for the fur gang. Went to the grocery store (oh the joy!) While at the grocery store, I managed to successfully keep my mouth shut after I turned around and ran smack dab into the shopping cart of the woman behind me in line, who all but had her cart up my ass, then had the audacity to look at me like I was a moron for not knowing she was thisclose to me. I'm pretty sure my cocked eyebrow and facial expression were far more effective than any words I could have spoken. Pulled over on my way home and had the six of an officer on a traffic stop. Didn't realize that the officer was a friend of mine until I got a "Thanks for having my back. Made me smile when I saw your truck sitting back there." text, a few minutes later. As public servants we're chosen family. Nobody fights alone, regardless of which badge we wear. Once home, I put groceries away then went for a short run with my K-9 kiddo, who, for reasons unknown, has the attention span of a gnat, today. Next stop: steam cleaning my tile floors, finishing laundry, and deciding what's for dinner. Got any suggestions?

I got up at 4:00 am picked up my truck rental and coworkers an hour away. Drove 4 hours to the coast then got on a boat for 3 hours. Ate lunch then drove 4 hours back to the office and another hour home.
Long day and I am exhausted. |

I spent most of the day re-doing the chicken coop. It's really amazing how dirty the coop gets. It's mainly due to the rooster, he's a very messy guy and a really big pain. I fixed up the hen boxes, replaced the sand for warmth, weather proofed the run to keep the girls warm and now I'm hoping for more eggs.
