Lunch: What's on the menu?

A friend surprised me with lunch she made since we were meeting at her house for a work thing. She made a great salad with two types of kale, walnuts, cranberries, and a light salty dressing. She also made vegetarian meatballs with loads of mushrooms, grains, fresh herbs... was a treat!

I stopped at a little coffee shop just to get a bagel to hold me over through my workday but..

They had a sandwich special: smashed avocado with fresh tomatoes, feta, lemon juice and sprouts on your choice of bread. I got a ciabatta.

It was Mmm mmm GOOD. Everything just melded happily together. Who knew feta and avocado got along so well together?? The lemon juice just made it all sing a happy song. And sprouts.. are my long lost love. I have a sprouter, I just need to buy seeds. After rememebering why I love them so much...I think I shall..

I had a dirty chai just because I felt like it...

Its the little things in life that mean the most.
