Omg I'm so happy for this thread!
Word origins have long fascinated me. There was a time when I considered becoming a linguistic anthropologist. There was a show on cable about the origins of slang. Its interesting to see where our every day lexicon derives from. I was VERY surprised at the origination of y'all. I will be back to read and post!!
