Light a candle

Today I am lighting one for my great grandmother and my namesake I received a call early this morning that she was getting ready to pass. By the time my plane got there and I got in the room she passed 10 min later. I think she was waiting for me. She was so excited to be a great great grandmother and this was really unexpected. I wish she could have held on to see my babies but I know she is at peace. It is just difficult because she was in perfect health and now she is gone. I am still in shock and sitting here waiting to wake up.....Not a good day

I light a candle for thanksgiving ... for a way made out of no way ...

another candle for the kind and gentle thoughts of each person on this thread who uttered a prayer, a good thought for me/us.

I light another, large candle whose slow melting wax carries my gratitude for the Gift given today.

I light a candle for all children in harms way!
Those seeking safety and searching for home.
Those who are abducted,lost,scared or runaways wanting to be safe and return home again.
May this candle and the light on the porch,
Direct the way to safety and shelter!
May they be guided and protected with devine intervention!

What is a safe house:
A safe house always leaves porch light or a light on that children might see...It is known by many in diffrent communities.
Everyone here I know, leaves the light on..Just incase.
And also gets to know the children in the area.
Doesn't hurt to see what help is needed at your local teen center either.
Or place they feed homeless kids.

Just a thought.

It's been a while since I've come into this thread to light a candle, but I pray every day.

Today I lit a candle for those that have loved and lost for whatever reason and find the strength, courage and hope to love again.

A candle looses nothing when lit by anothers flame!
It only intensifies the strengths in synch with the others already lit!

These candles I added here has been burning for cancer patients and the caregiviers for a very long time!!!!
