I have 2 Waterman fountain pens that I've had for going on 16 years and love them both (I was working a 2nd job at Staples and was able to get them for next to nothing!)
Also have an Italian Aurora fountain pen that was given to me as a birthday gift about 10 years ago and it's my fave. Looks like this: ![]() Both of my Watermans are currently filled with Private Reserve ink. One in Black Cherry: And one in Black Magic Blue: My Aurora is currently filled with the ink I got during Yule. Its the Iroshizuku line from Pilot and that entire line are centered around colors found in vintage Japanese art:

LOVE the pens....I like the ones done in a blue marbled look...or a teal...and LOVE the finite silver filigree like work on the barrel ring!
Those inks are divine. I didn't know of the last one BUT it is really cool..thanks for sharing!! Quote:

I actually used to have a Montblanc! It was vintage and I got it at a yard sale in a big ziplock bag full of highlighters and pens. I was a young, broke college student back in the day and those office supplies were like a Godsend. When I got the bag home and discovered the pen, I was so excited! It was beautiful! I cleaned it up and used it for a year or two but then I made the mistake of checking it's value on eBay ![]() It was worth $300!! I ended up selling it on eBay a short time later when I needed money to fix my truck. Pretty good little profit off of a bag that cost .50 originally

Oh my, I love this topic too. I know someone who has hundreds of pens, and that is too much for me! Especially when I tried making a mark with each one. But I am in love with handwriting and paper of various types. My favorite types of pens are old school ones with some weight that twist open and calligraphy pens. I have tons of different size nibs, but need to get some new pen holders.
I love handwriting and typography and just bought some new ink so that I can get back into practicing calligraphy. I started practicing Japanese again and been using this brush pen I have and it makes beautiful strokes. I was also recently in an art supply store and was going insane over so many of the amazingly beautiful textured handcrafted papers they had. I wanted to take them all home and keep them forever. Oh I also love colored pens that smell, like a red cherry scented one I used recently.

What is the brush pen you mention in your post? I've quoted you below... "I started practicing Japanese again and been using this brush pen I have and it makes beautiful strokes." You also mentioned loving different types of paper...for letter writing I use Verge De France...great writing paper. Greco |
