After much research I finally decided to bite the bullet and try my hand at brewing Kombucha tea rather than spend $4 per bottle for premade. I am doing it the slow way which involves growing the scoby myself so as to avoid paying $25 one. This way too, I know the sanitary measures taken and I can grow it to work with green and/or black teas. If it grows as it is supposed to, I will only have to do it once as each batch of Kombucha tea grows a new scoby. I will know in a couple of weeks if I succeeded in my efforts.

Just checked on my Kombucha jar to see how the scoby baby making process is going. It has been 96 hours now and it looks like an alien science project...which is what it really is. All of the good little bacteria are doing their thing.

Cleaned kitchen and bathrooms before daylight

Cleared yards with Toro blower and so thankful I did not see any snakes. SIDENOTE: I questioned my mental health the day AFTER I caught that copperhead on DEC 26th but I had told myself prior to the live catch, I needed to catch the next one, research for myself that they cannot crawl up super slick surfaces. It is true, that one could never make it up the side of the 5 gallon water bottle even with extrodinary effort. About the mental stuff, I am somewhat of an adrenaline junkie and it made me feel quite lively during the catch phase. That next day, when my supervisor said I could not bring it inside the building for show and tell, that is when I starting wondering to self if perhaps it was not one of my keener ideas.

Disassembled several large very heavy wood pieces I scavenged from the industrial park ... wanted all the great, useable hardware from them and already have plans for it ... loaded all the resulting wood pieces from the breakdown on the truck to haul off.

Washed clothes on and off all day - kept that task going whenever I would come inside

Took dogs on four walks, plus did the set up for them to have numerous ice cube parties, they are so funny when I yell "ice cube party"

About an hour before dark, loaded 3 firearms onto the truck, drove to the dead end and into the thickly wooded hunting area where we walk ... I had a notebook, sat on the back of the truck and wrote on each target what caliber or which shotgun, how many feet to that target and exact brand/ load of shot... got measuring tape, walked off distance for each target and placed it in particular order to match how I loaded each firearm ... and by the time I was ready to shoot, it was getting dark, of course I forgot my flash light and head lamp ... though I could not see them, I became aware of having an audience - I could hear them walking around ... glad they came, I want them to associate me with loud bang noises ... anyway, I did some fast shooting, came back to the house, fed Jennifer, Kevie and myself ... put their portable foam mattress out on the ground and revived up their last ice cube party of this day for them ... we three sat outside under lots of floodlights, relaxing like that at the end of a wonderful day. It felt swell

Practiced my physical therapy exercises,
Devoted my afternoon to occupational therapy exercise,
Filled out paperwork for several doctor appt visits this week,
Put several bags of donations (clothes, etc) together,
And spent some time talking on the phone with my mom.
