Within the past year I did come across the whole saying however and had to laugh at the conclusion "but the old one knows all the corners"!

My father said this to me often.

I had a penchant for calling out flawed thinking processes, long before I was even out of elementary grade school.

I've got lots to say about this, but feel somewhat guarded in my thoughts tonight (......).

I think that it's completely true, in many ways.

It could apply also to memories we hold dear. It also could mean that time and space play an important role in building up value toward any person, place or thing that adds toward a sense of well being.

Thanks for posting this particular strand of thought.....because I've often felt it was true, so very true!
