My mom took care of a sick little girl when in nursing school, and got attached. The little girl ended up dying, so I was named to honor her. My middle name is a variation on my grandfather's name, my dad's middle name, and my aunt's name.

I wasn't named after anyone, but my mom let her two sisters name me after my dad screwed up when he named my older sister. My sister hated her name and insisted everyone call her by her family nick name (which we did unless we needed some leverage LOL).
