I'd still invite her in and fix a sandwich for her and let her pick out some movies.......

If you BOTH knocked on my door ~ I'd have to move my dogs over and put a plate of appetizers and wine & fruit juice on the coffee table . Order a good movie.

Ocean, if you knocked on my door, I'd invite you into my home and vehicle. We would then have the option of staying where we are or traveling to a different locale. Mi casa es su casa. But you can't drive it! Once we have the location we want we'd nibble on snacks unless you'd like a full meal.

If homoe knocked on my door today- I would invite her in and ask if she would like something to drink. I would then offer to let her look through the music collection and pick something out to listen to. Once that is cue'd up- we could sit on the back deck -where I would thank her for making the journey to see me.. and chat about whatever was on our minds.
