homoe???? By chance did you come across this term while reading Water for Elephants or Love During Cholera?

Legerdemain refers to that guy wearing an top-hat and white gloves, as he waves his wand over the magic hat and suddenly See's chocolate appears or that adorable bunny with fuzzy loveable ears, appears. Yanno, "abracadabra" type magic.
