She (1965)
The film "She" (1965), the Hammer film adaptation of H. Rider Haggard's book "She" - which was serialized in a magazine from October 1886 to January 1887. The film starred Peter Cushing, Bernard Cribbins, John Richardson, Rosenda Monteros, Christopher Lee, and of course the famous Ursula Andress (remember her from the James Bond film, Dr. No) who states the most famous line:
"I am she who must be obeyed..." ...great fun (chuckling), saw it again today on the TV... |

Conflict (1945) play) Stars: Humphrey Bogart, Alexis Smith, Sydney Greenstreet
Kathryn's husband pushes her car over a cliff and assumes she's died. However, things happen to make him wonder if Kathryn somehow survived. First, the police find a pickpocket in possession of a cameo ring that Richard and Evelyn identify as Kathryn's; the man admits to stealing it from a woman matching Kathryn's description after her disappearance. Then Richard smells Kathryn's perfume in their bedroom, finds her key to a home safe, and opens it: her wedding ring is inside... This is an excellent movie.. |
