If you're going to be in Chicago and want pizza............

Pizano's Pizza & Pasta 864 N State St, Chicago (there are other locations as well)

It's impossible to say who has the best pizza in Chicago, but this place has to be one of them! Plenty here besides pizza too!

I have posted this before no doubt, but after a recent visit, it's remains top on my list!

The Closet 3325 N Broadway St Chicago

I noticed reviewers on Yelp still posted comments about how unfriendly and dirty this bar was! Back in 2005 I found the same to be true as well but...
maybe I lucked out the night I went in because it was clean and the bartender was very friendly. Can't ask for more than that IMHO...

If you're going to be in Chicago and need a sugar fix stop by any of the Fanny May stores. I believe this one is in the Water Tower Place but there are several other locals as well.

It isn't See's but it pretty dam close IMHO....

L'Appetito 30 E Huron St, Chicago, IL (this is on the ground level of the John Handcock Center) Bakery, sandwiches, salads & it's ALL delicious! My favorite was the chocolate chip muffin......

I had never been to this ( a huge flea market) until yesterday when my nephew and his family dragged me there! Of course I didn't buy anything but it was a great people watching venue!

If you enjoy beer along with some delicious morsels and are going to be in Chicago check out Kaiser Tiger at 1415 W Randolph St, Chicago.

Everything I tried was fantastic!

There are several healthy options too. I did not partake but my nephew enjoyed some of the vast selections of beers they offer...........

Plenty of outside seating for those who enjoy that sort of thing...

Finally a place I could introduce my clan to! We opted for the Sausage & Peppers and it did not disappoint!

Early to Bed 5044 N Clark St, Chicago

After my family headed back home Sunday I left downtown & moved out to the Andersonville area and ended up what I thought would be a day and half there turned into two and a half days thanks to a snowstorm!

I'm not usually one to go to "toy stores" but this one attracted my attention! It was unreal the amount of stuff they had cramed into such a limited space. It was well organized, clean, brightly lite, and very trans friendly IMHO..

The Sun-Times found out that her favorite specific location is at 2106 S. Indiana Street.

ESPECIALLY if you're near either on a Thursday or Friday stop by for their Beef Stew Soup made with all local grown vegetables from around the area!

At $8 bucks a bowl it's a bit pricey but well worth it........

Runs along Bloomingdale Trail between Ashland and Ridgeway. Modeled after NYC’s High Line, The 606 urban hiking trail is the best way to see the city’s neighborhoods with a little nature thrown into the mix.
