The act of an individual of the butch persuasion designed to prevent, eschew or circumvent a necessary application to his/hys/her head by the hand of an individual of the femme persuasion.

Often seen by other individuals of the butch persuasion as backpedaling or being *ahem* whipped. However, clinical tests have proven that put in the same situation, most individuals of the butch persuasion will default to this act when given the chance.
