The kid I'm mentoring took all of his written tests today, 12 different areas of stagecraft. He passed with an over all score of 96%.
Now, if I can get him to stop freaking out about the practicals, I'll smile again.

Mama made me smile today
I had the most wonderful surprise today, I went to the city for a show and stopped in the Castro for a slice of pizza, I saw Mama Standing outside of Daddy's(440) and I went to ask how she was after her surgery, right their on the spot she pinned me "Mama's Sweet Tee" and welcomed me to her family. it was perfect her and me on Castro it was special and quiet

I got such a chuckle this morning....
When I left to run errands, I came upon a little turtle sunbathing on the road. When I got out of my car to "save" him from being hit... he must'a been a racing turtle 'cause he scurried very fast off the road, hissing at me the whole way while I directed him to the side that has a small pond. I thought "gee little buddy, you need racing stripes and a tune up!!" When I got home and pulled into the drive, I nearly hit a BIG turtle, about the size of a dinner plate!! This one's shell was all yucky with green muck from his favorite water hole...he was happily munching on dandelions and didn't want to budge! When I picked him up to move him off my parking spot, he stuck his tongue out at me and pulled back into his "home". With this lil guy, I thought "I'm happy I have turtles to smile at and not Blade's house snakes!!"
