i miss my mom so much..for my parents

Lighting a virtual candle for my friend, Ms. Camilla, who is 99(?) years old and has pneumonia. She's been in the hospital for a week and they tell me she's getting better with each day—her family is amazed she's come this far.

Up until last month she was still dying her hair herself, but they took away her driving privileges about a year ago when she broke her pelvis bone. Though, she refuses to sell her car because she's determined to drive again. I'd gladly go for a ride with her.

Here's hoping she's back home soon.

Lighting a candle for my buddy Elisa. She and her partner lost their little dog, Hartley, to coyotes over the holidays. I haven't spoken with her so I don't know the details, but I know she's not doing well.

Coyotes are no joke in Southern Cali.

Lighting a candle for my parents and my sweet sister so they will always have a guiding light on the other side. I miss you all so very very much. Only my brother and myself left. His wife died this year.

Light a candle for my large and vibrant family that was murdered in the Holocaust leaving only my parents, one uncle, one aunt.

It is a fact that I never forget and will never let my two little grandsons to forget. They are the narrow remaining future of that family.

I look up at the sky often and ask my parents and all of them to look out for them and keep them safe.
