I live in WA state and hadn't heard anything about it until today but in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Governor Inslee has declared a state of emergency for all counties in Washington state. This allows DSHS to issue benefits under the Disaster Cash Assistance Program to families and individuals who wouldn’t normally be eligible for cash benefits.
