The Secret Lives of Church Ladies by Deesha Philyaw
It’s a collection of short stories about Black women, sex, and the Black church. Am liking it very much though it’s a strong reminder of what I dread (and miss) about organized religion. It’s encouraging me to visit my local AME church in hopes of hearing a good Sunday morning sermon. |
