Morton Arboretum 4100 IL-53, Lisle, IL
Last Friday, a new exhibition called "Human+Nature" officially opened at the 1,700-acre park in suburban Lisle. Visitors can take in five fantastical, 15- to 26-foot-tall sculptures made by South African artist Daniel Popper that explore the intersection between the human and natural worlds. "Each sculpture has a story behind it, but I like to leave the questions about each piece a little bit open, so people can come and bring their own ideas to it," Popper said in a press release. "I want people to come here and ask questions of themselves about their relationship with nature." "Human+Nature" opens May 28 and admission is included with regular time-entry tickets to the Arboretum. |
