 For the young man I spoke with today who was distraught at recently being diagnosed HIV+.  May he find the courage to face his diagnosis & make his way back to the community health centre & start antiretrovirals soon.

I am lighting a candle for all of the animals who are being burned alive in the Gulf Coast Oil Spill. Today a rare turtle was found alive, but burned horribly. I am also lighting a candle for all of those souls who are suffering from the loss of their jobs due to BP. Today a well-known boat captain committed and completed suicide in his beloved boat. BP only offered him $33k for a years worth of work when he was used to making $107 to $110K a year. RIP Captain. |

My candle is for my dear friend Harry. He is recovering from a heart attack and open heart surgery. Plus he lost his old dog. Makes me sad he doesn't have loyal George at his side while he gets back on his feet.
