Mr. Strutt and I live in Gulfport (right next to St. Petersburg on the west-central coast, if you are not familiar with it). We have been married for 12-1/2 years and have a beautiful five-year-old daughter named Katie. I am a hairdresser and Mr. Strutt works for Home Depot. Kat/Ally_J, incidentally, is my best friend and Katie's godmother

Jesse - I can highly recommend Gulfport, a.k.a. "P-Town South", as one of the most gay-friendly places around to live. Population is about 33% queer and it is one of the few towns in Florida that has a Human Rights Ordinance that not only includes gays, lesbians and bisexuals, but is extended to transgendered folks as well. There is a lot of great info about Gulfport at http://gulfportflorida.us/

Carmin, one of these days you will actually make it down here to visit, sweetheart!

I would love to have a Floridian get-together while Sam or any other travelers are in the area if anyone would be interested in getting the ball rolling on it. There were a few of us in the Tampa Bay area who would get together on a fairly regular basis when the dash site was still a good place to hang out, but we've all drifted apart...and I miss having other butch-femme friends in my life.

I was born and raised in Daytona Beach and I have lived in Ocala and Orlando for seven years. I just moved to Palm Coast, FL, which is near St. Augustine.

Let me know if you all have a get together and I will try and attend. Orlando has their Pride in October.

Good rainy morning,

It's nice to be back home and in my own bed again, now if the rain will ease up a bit...otherwise our pool has about another 2 " before it begins to overflow or I have to drain some out, neither one is a good choice as far as I am concerned.

Is everyone else here in Florida still getting soaked as well?

Yes, but rain makes me even more domestic than usual...it's a good reason to stay inside and scrub my house from top to bottom. Thinking of making Mr. S hot open-faced roast beef sandwiches with mashed potatoes for dinner too
